Description

Alona Palm Beach Resort & Restaurant is located on a slightly elevated area in the middle of a tropical garden, spacious and quiet. A 60 meter wide coconut palm grove divides the 12 luxury villas from the white beach. Almost all villas offer pool, coconut palm grove and sea view. The open restaurant, overlooking the pool and sea, offers excellent Filipino and international cuisine, prepared by an experienced German chief.

A big and attractive swimming pool (450 m²) with sweet water, with integrated pool bar, recreation facilities like outdoor chess/checkers and others, forms the central part of the resort. Sun beds towels and umbrellas are available both at the pool deck and at the beach area.

Accommodation

All the villas are elegantly furnished, either with a king size bed (180 x 200 cm) or two double sized beds (140 x 200 cm).

Separate accommodation can be offered for a yaya/babysitter which companies a family, in a separate native style building.

The big bathrooms offer hot and cold shower, two lavabos, toilet and a dressing table.

Dining

The restaurant offers a variety of local and international dishes, all prepared under the supervision of the experienced German kitchen chef Uli.

For a romantic candle-light dinner, one can also avail of the many tables put out around the swimming pool, plenty of seats available.

In case of rainy weather or for those wanting some ventilation, the indoor restaurant, open to all sides and with plenty of overhead fans, offers sitting capacity for over 90 people.

The food in the BBQ night on Saturday is very good, especially the steak....cooking very good!! The swimming pool is OK. The happy hour of the bar is good, where you can meet with the other guests!! A very good experience. The location of the hotel is great.

The breakfast of the hotel is disappointed as the bread is not warm enough and the coffee is bad. The installation of the shower (Hot and cold) was fixed in a wrong direction. No door of the shower room, for couple will be fined but not for the whole family with children. The flies and mostiquito also annoyed me while reading sitting near the swimming pool.

Map

Bohol has its own small airport (Tagbilaran City), with several daily connections from and to Manila as well as Cebu. To Cebu it is also connected through a regular ferry service (several daily), both normal and fast ferries, which land and leave at the city pier.
